Swansea Fire Department is proud to announce the promotion of Deputy Fire Chief Doug Little to Fire Chief!
Little has been a dedicated member of our team since December 1998. Over the past 21 years, he’s served our community with honor, beginning as a volunteer firefighter before earning the title of Lieutenant in 2018. Known for his leadership and commitment, Little has also been instrumental in shaping the next generation of firefighters as our Lead Instructor for EMS training. Since November 2023, he has served as the department’s Deputy Fire Chief.
When asked why he joined the fire service, Little shared that his passion for giving back to the community drives him. His proudest moment? Being entrusted to help train the future of Swansea Fire Department.
