Meet Firefighter Kevin Schnarre
FF Schnarre joined the Swansea Fire Department on June 4, 1998, and has been an active member of the department for the last 22 years. FF Schnarre spent 4 years on the explorer post before joining the department. One big accomplishment he achieved while in the department was obtaining his fire science degree. Today he enjoys going to training with his son who is on the cadet program and is the 3rd generation of Schnarre’s on the fire department. The reason he became a firefighter was because his dad was in the department and he wanted to serve the community and be part of the brotherhood of the fire department where everyone is like family. His favorite moment was when he and Retired Chief John McGuire took 5419 from Scott Air Force Base to Owl Creek for a structure fire with his dad and John’s grandpa in the old fire truck following us.
Please join us in thanking FF Schnarre for his continued dedication and support to The Village of Swansea and the surrounding communities.
